  • Do I have to register before making a purchase?
  • Yes, the registration is needed to gain access to the Zodiac services.

  • Why do you want to know my address during the registration?
  • Because in the future we may need your address to ship prizes, or boxed copies of games, or gadgets that you can win on Zodiac. We assure that your personal data will be safe and never transferred to third parties, and no undesired ad will be sent to you.

  • What payment methods are accepted?
  • You can make your purchases with all the main credit card, Paypal or bank transfer.

  • Hey, I made a purchase paying with a bank transfer, but I can't see the game on my list!
  • Well, probably we haven't received a payment confirm by your bank, yet. But it's just a matter of time, you'll see that it will appear soon!

  • I pre-ordered a game, but if I click 'Download' Zodiac keeps telling it's not available.
  • This means your game has not been released yet! Check the release date to know when you will be able to download it.

  • I have problems to install/uninstall one of my games!!
  • Have you checked that the game system requirements match your computer's ones? Always remember to check the requirements before making a purchase! If you still have problems, contact us at help@zodiac-store.com: we'll answer immediately!

  • Do I have to be connected to the Internet in order to play?
  • No. You just need to be connected for a few seconds to activate the game, right after the installation. Then you can play without any active Internet connection.

  • How can I uninstall or completely remove a game downloaded from Zodiac?
  • In the product page, within the Zodiac software, you can find two buttons: 'Uninstall' and 'Delete'. Clicking on 'Uninstall', the game will be uninstalled from your computer. If you need to free disk space, you can click on 'Delete' and you will erase the downloaded files that Zodiac stores by default.

  • Do I have to download a game again to re-install it?
  • No. The Zodiac software stores the files needed to install a game even after you uninstall it: that means you'll not be forced to download it again. The one thing you'll have to do is repeat the very short activation process (you need an internet connection in order to do it).
    If you erased the installation files through the button 'Delete' though, you should download the game again.

  • How many times can I download and activate a Zodiac game?
  • Every time you want! If you purchased a game from Zodiac, that game is yours, so we don't give any limit to the number of downloads and activations: you can use that game on every computer you own (for example you can install it on the home PC or on the notebook, so you can play even when you're out ;-)), without any kind of problems.
    We ask you to not illegally release the games: our system allows us to reveal "anomalous" activities (like the simultaneous use of a specific account or a statistically improbable number of download/activations), typical in case of robbery or account sharing. In those case, we will reserve the right to suspend the account or contact the user to clarify the situation.

  • Can I lend my account to a friend to let him download one of my game from Zodiac?
  • As written earlier, the account sharing or the simultaneous use of the same account on more systems is not allowed, so the answer is no.

  • I can't remember my Zodiac password!
  • No panic: go to the password recovery page and follow the istructions; at the end of the process you will be able to re-log to Zodiac with your personal account.

  • I miss the "Back" button while surfing in the shop from the Zodiac software...
  • To keep the user interface essential, we avoided to add the classic broswer butttons like "Back", "Forward", "Update" etc. If you really can't live without "Back", we have a little tip for you: press backspace on your keyboard to return to the previous page. ;-)
    In addition, clicking on the Zodiac logo in the upper left part of the screen, you'll be back to the Home.

  • Where Zodiac saves his preferences?
  • Open My Computer and copy %APPDATA%/Zodiac in the address bar (the one in the upper part of the screen, with the path and the folders), and you will immediately find yourself in the folder with the Zodiac preferences file.

  • Where are the games I downloaded and installed? Can I choose an alternative path?
  • If you're using Windows XP, open My Computer and copy %USERPROFILE%/Local Settings/Application Data/Zodiac in the address bar.
    If you're using Windows 7 or Windows Vista, open My Computer and copy %LOCALAPPDATA%/Zodiac in the address bar.
    If you want to choose an alternative path for your downloaded and installed games (for example an external hard-drive or a removable device), you can follow these instructions (if you have NO installed games and with the Zodiac software shut down). This operation is for advanced users only.
    Open the file %APPDATA%/Zodiac/Zodiac.ini with notepad and add these two lines at the bottom:

    [global]
    dataPath=F:/ZodiacData/
    (of course you will have to replace this path with your chosen one)

    The new path shouldn't have any space in the name, indicated with the final '/', accessible in writing to the current user and not used by other software.

  • I have to change PC/reinstall my OS: can I do a backup of the games I downloaded?
  • Yes, you should only save/restore the 'tmp' folder inside the folder in which there are the Zodiac files (see previous points for the path). Our client will automatically detect the games and then skip the download part.
